Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that it is our resolve to make Uttarakhand drug free by 2025 and tuberculosis free state by 2024. The Chief Minister also expected everyone to cooperate in the development of the state along with environmental protection and cleanliness. Describing blood donation as a great donation, the Chief Minister expected cooperation from everyone. He said that to free the state from dengue, public cooperation is also necessary for cleanliness and to prevent waterlogging. Only through collective efforts will we be successful in controlling this epidemic. The Chief Minister said that we have always received the blessings of our mother power. His blessings inspire us to work day and night in the discharge of our responsibilities. Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister for the successful organization of G-20, the Chief Minister said that the organization of G-20 under his leadership has changed history. In the three-day G-20 conference held in Delhi under the able leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has introduced its power and potential to the entire world. He also expected everyone to congratulate the Prime Minister by sending post cards for this.
The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of curtain raiser of the Global Investor Summit held in Delhi, ITC has proposed an investment of Rs 5000 crore to the Uttarakhand government. An MoU for investment of Rs 1000 crore was signed with Mahindra Holidays and Resort India Limited and Rs 1600 crore was signed with e-Kuber. This will provide employment opportunities to the youth. And will help in stopping migration. The Chief Minister said that we are working with the vision of creating an easy business environment along with world-class infrastructure in Uttarakhand. Along with implementing special policies, attractive financial incentives have been arranged to promote investment in various sectors in the state. These policies mainly include Tourism Policy-2023, MSME Policy-2023, Startup Policy-2023, Logistics Policy-2023, Policy-2023 for establishment of private industrial estates.
The Chief Minister said that at present a land bank of about 6000 acres is available in Uttarakhand for setting up industries in various sectors. Whereas 08 thousand. There has been continuous improvement in rail, road and air connectivity in the state. Direct air service has become available from Dehradun Airport to various cities. As part of the development and upgradation of the railway network, the construction work of Rishikesh – Karnaprayag railway line is in progress. To facilitate the Char Dham Yatra in the state, the construction work of all-weather road is also in progress.
The Chief Minister said that for the convenience of tourists and devotees in the state, facilities are being developed through innovation at all the places. Our aim is to develop all the mythological places of the state. Like Chardham and Kailash, a circuit of temples of Kumaon region is being made under the Manaskhand Temple Mala Mission. In this, religious tourism will be further promoted in the state. Soon ropeway will be constructed for Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib. Along with the construction of Ganga Corridor in Haridwar Rishikesh, the foundation stone for the construction of a ghat has been laid at Haripur near Kalsi for the Aarti of Yamuna as per the tradition of Mahabharata period, like Harki Paidi.
The Chief Minister said that Uniform Civil Code will be implemented in the state soon. The draft of the committee formed for this is in the final stage. After receiving the draft, it will be implemented in the state. Uttarakhand will be the first state in the country, where Uniform Civil Code law will be implemented. The Chief Minister said that injustice was being done to the unemployed youth of the state for a long time through cheating in examinations etc. An investigation was conducted on the complaints of cheating through various means. In this the culprits were sent to jail. To ensure that candidates are selected according to their abilities and to create complete transparency in the examinations, a strict anti-copying law was implemented in the state. The Chief Minister said that our state has 71 percent forest area. Work is being done to remove encroachment on forest areas and other government lands. Encroachments have been removed from 3200 hectares of forest land. Action is also being taken regarding land law in the state.
