CM to campaign at Trichy Farmers Market tomorrow: Introduction of 9 Assembly candidates at one place
Tamil Nadu: DMK leader and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who has launched his campaign for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, is introducing candidates contesting in nine seats in Trichy district on Wednesday.
The DMK is contesting seven of the nine seats in Trichy district, while alliance partners, the Humanity People’s Party and the Congress Party, are contesting two seats: Manapparai and Thuraiyur (Independent).
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will begin his first tour on March 31st, seeking votes for candidates in the DMK-led Secular Alliance.
He will attend a public meeting in Tiruvarur on Tuesday evening and campaign for candidates contesting in Thiruthuraipoondi, Thiruvarur, Nannilam, and Mannargudi constituencies.
He will then travel to Trichy on Wednesday morning. He will attend a campaign meeting at the Thennur Uzhava Market Ground and speak in support of Trichy West K.N. Nehru, Thiruverumpur Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Trichy East Inigo Irudayaraj, Manapparai Abdul Samadhu, Thiruvarangam S. Durairaj, Mannachanallur C. Kathiravan, Lalgudi T. Parivelal, Musiri N.S. Karunai Raja, and Thuraiyur (Independent) Congress candidate. All nine candidates have been advised to be prepared. Minister K.N. Nehru, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, DMK District Secretary K. Vairamani, and N. Thiagarajan are arranging a public meeting in anticipation of the Chief Minister’s visit.
A concrete stage has been erected at the Uzhava Market, where the campaign public meeting will be held. Both ministers have intensified preparations to construct a pavilion for the audience, erect pillars, build a decorative arch in front of the stage, display photographs of coalition party leaders, and install loudspeakers.
Preparations are underway to gather thousands of people at the Uzhava Market Ground on Wednesday. After concluding the public meeting in Trichy, the Chief Minister will travel to Karur in the evening and campaign in support of candidates from the Aravakurichi, Karur, Krishnarayapuram, and Kulithalai assembly constituencies at a public meeting in Rayanur, Karur district. Later, he will leave for Erode.
