Mangaluru: KPCC working president Salim Ahmed said that in preparation for the Lok Sabha elections, the AICC will appoint a minister in each Lok Sabha constituency and a senior party leader from Karnataka as party observers to seek party workers’ opinion on potential candidates. .
After attending the District Level Congress Executive Committee meeting at the Congress Bhawan in Mangaluru, he told media persons that the Congress has set a target of winning 20 seats in the Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka, including Dakshina Kannada and Udupi-Chikkamagaluru.
He said, “We have requested to announce the candidates at least six months before the elections. We are working in that direction. The list of party observers for each constituency will be released by AICC shortly.
“India will come to power and Rahul Gandhi will become the Prime Minister. Congress workers will reach out to people about the failure of the Narendra Modi-led government to deposit Rs 15 lakh in accounts, generate two crore jobs annually, double farmers’ income, increase development in the last nine and a half years.
