On the other hand, the Congress party in Madhya Pradesh reacted to this. Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari fumed, “When innocent citizens die due to contaminated water, and the affected families are in grief and in hospitals, should the Collector be with the affected families or in the RSS office?”
“Are officials taking instructions from behind closed doors in the office of an organization affiliated with the ruling party? Is the administration currently accountable to the RSS and not to the people?” Jitu Patwari questioned. He said that a complaint will be filed with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) against Collector Shivam Verma for violating administrative impartiality.
