Delhi. Congress leader and MP from Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor has expressed concern over the dangerous air pollution. Along with this, he also expressed doubt on New Delhi being the national capital of India. Posting on X, Tharoor said that Delhi’s air is about five times worse than the world’s second most polluted city Dhaka. He described this situation as extremely worrying. He wrote, ‘Our government has been seeing this nightmare for years and nothing is being done about it.’

Shashi Tharoor also mentioned his previous efforts. He said that since 2015, he participated in a round table conference on air quality with experts, but left it last year when there was no progress. The MP said that New Delhi becomes uninhabitable for three months from November to January. It becomes very difficult to live here. He raised the question, ‘Should it also remain the capital of the country?’ Earlier also, Tharoor has taken a dig at Delhi’s poor air quality. Earlier this month, the Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 462. He shared satirical signboards on this.
