Constitution Day celebrated in Collectorate, District, Hospital and schools
Sarangarh Bilaigarh : Collector Siddiqui administered the oath on Constitution Day on 26 November in the Collectorate assembly hall. On the occasion of Constitution Day, officers, employees and students in district panchayats, hospitals, offices, schools, colleges, public undertakings etc. recited the Preamble of the Indian Constitution.
All officers and employees also pledged to work in public interest as per the basic spirit of the Constitution. Constitution Day was celebrated in a dignified atmosphere in all three blocks of Sarangarh Bilaigarh district. It is noteworthy that the Government of India has decided to celebrate Constitution Day on 26 November every year on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Dr. Ambedkar was the chairman of the drafting committee of the Indian Constitution. The Indian Constitution was adopted, enacted and surrendered by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949.
