Counting of votes will take place in Jashpur school from 8 o’clock on 3rd December.
Jashpur ; Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Ravi Mittal held a meeting of Returning Officers and Nodal Officers regarding the preparation for the counting work of Assembly Elections 2023 in the Collectorate Hall on Saturday. The counting of votes will be done on December 3 from 8 am at the Government Model School Jashpur Dodkachaura counting centre. Gave instructions to issue duty passes to all officers and employees and gave guidelines regarding law and order. The Collector gave instructions to maintain drinking water, food and other necessary arrangements at the counting venue. He asked to form table-wise teams of enumeration supervisor and enumeration assistant. Asked to provide training for tabulation and sealing work. The Collector gave detailed instructions regarding statutory provisions, guidelines of the Election Commission of India, security arrangements, counting of postal ballots, counting of votes recorded in EVMs, sealing of EVMs and election materials after completion of counting and declaration of results. .
He told the officials that in the important task of counting of votes, all the officials should work as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India. All officers should receive proper training for vote counting work and should be aware of the rules and provisions. Instructions were given to maintain internet connectivity, photocopy machines, CCTV cameras, videography, mic arrangements, electricity and generators in the counting venue. He gave necessary instructions regarding security arrangements, parking of vehicles and media centre. Keep necessary materials for printer, scanner and sealing work for counting postal ballots and ETPBS. The counting center should have tables, chairs and other adequate facilities in the counting hall. He said that work will be done keeping in mind the security arrangements in all the counting centres. Necessary instructions were given regarding assembly-wise, table-wise formation of the counting team and randomization. On this occasion, Additional Collector IL Thakur, Deputy District Election Officer RP Chauhan, All Returning Officer, Nodal Officer and other officers were present.
