Death by running on the road: One life lost, watch LIVE video of car running over women
Mangaluru (Karnataka): In Mangaluru, Karnataka, a driver ran his car over women walking on the footpath. A woman died in this accident. While four women were injured. After this the car driver fled from there. The incident happened near Ladyhill area of Mangaluru at 4 pm on Wednesday.
It is being told that the women were walking on the footpath near the Mangaluru City Corporation swimming pool. Then a car rider hit him from behind. After this, when he started running away from there, he hit a pole and a woman. Kamlesh Baldev was driving this car. He ran away from the spot after hitting the women.
The deceased woman has been identified as 23 year old Rupashree. Three of the four injured are minors. According to the police, after hitting the women, Kamlesh parked his car in front of a car showroom and ran away home.
Police have registered a case against Baldev under sections 279 (rash and negligent driving), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering the life or personal safety of others), 338 (causing hurt by act endangering the life or personal safety of others). A case has been registered under section 304(A) (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
