DIG CB, SSP ANTF participated in anti-drug program
To eliminate the menace of drug abuse from the society and to save the young generation from the clutches of drug smugglers and traffickers, a drug awareness program was organized at MAM College by Crime Branch J&K and ANTF J&K , in which approximately 600 hundred students and staff participated. The program was formally inaugurated by Javid Iqbal Matto (DIG Crime Branch J&K) and attended by SSP Amarjeet Singh, Raj Kumar (SSP, ANTF J&K) and Gurdev Singh Rakwal (Principal, MAM College, Jammu). Guest lectures were given to the students by various experts.
Lectures on health and awareness issues were delivered by Dr. Muzaffar Jan (Director, De-addiction Centre, PCR Kashmir) and on legal issues by Laiq Ahmed Dar (Joint Director Prosecution, Crime Branch, Jammu and Kashmir). A lecture was delivered by Raj Kumar SSP ANTF on the drug scenario and modus operandi of drug trafficking in Jammu and Kashmir.
The awareness program gave very important information to the public to keep an eye on the activities of drug smugglers in their area so as to curb the drug menace under ‘Drug Free India Campaign’ to declare India as a drug free nation. Could.
The main reasons behind drug addiction were discussed in detail by the experts so that the students stay away from the menace of drugs which is the urgent need of the hour to keep India a healthy and drug free nation.
The participants were also requested to provide timely information about drug trafficking to law enforcement agencies.
