Female constable commits suicide while on duty
Samastipur (IANS). A female police constable committed suicide by hanging herself while on duty in Nagar police station area of Samastipur district of Bihar. The reasons for suicide are not known at present.
A police officer said on Thursday that a woman constable committed suicide late on Wednesday evening while on duty in the police control room in Samastipur.
While on duty, seeing the room closed, other policemen broke the gate and entered inside and found the body of constable Archana hanging.
The policemen hurriedly took him to Samastipur Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.
The deceased female constable was a resident of Khizarsarai in Gaya district. Archana’s husband Suman Kumar is also working as a constable. After receiving information about the incident, senior police officers also reached the spot and are investigating the matter.
Sadar Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Pandey said that the police is investigating the entire matter.
Here, police sources say that during the investigation, the police have also found a suicide note, in which it is being told that the female constable has accused a major of torturing her.
