Force will have to be increased to control Naxal: Nanki Ram Kanwar
Raipur. There is a senior leader in Chhattisgarh who does not shy away from speaking candidly, no matter which party is in government. Yes, we are talking about the former Home Minister of the state Nanki Ram Kanwar.
Even in the previous government, many a times he kept praising some scheme openly and never shied away from scolding even the Chief Minister. Now that his own party i.e. BJP is in power in the state, still Mr. Kanwar is calling his own party’s government’s performance slow.
He has said that the government’s work is going on at a slow pace. Work should be done at a fast pace. Shri Kanwar said that everything should be controlled on time, if work goes slowly then crimes will increase. He clearly said that the formation of the cabinet also took place very late.
On the increase in Naxal incidents in the state as soon as the BJP government was formed, he said that forces will have to be increased to control Naxalism. He also said that discussions should be held with Naxalites. Shri Kanwar claimed that crime had reduced in the state during my tenure as Home Minister, this is a record in itself.
