Health centers established at three places in Gandhinagar for injured birds
Gandhinagar: In Uttarayan, while colorful kites will be flying in the sky, many wild birds will also get caught on the strings of the kites. To save these injured birds, a hospital has been opened this year in Sector-30 of Gandhinagar and an operation theater has also been built there. Apart from this, a team including a veterinarian has also been deployed in the divisional office of the Forest Department and CH-0 nursery. Therefore around 130 trained volunteers will be deployed across the city to treat injured birds during the three days.
During the festival of Uttarayan, birds are getting trapped and dying due to kite strings and the drivers passing on the road are also getting seriously injured and dying due to the strings, the government has started a compassionate campaign to save the birds. Have done. A temporary treatment center along with a collection center for injured birds has also been set up by Gir Foundation at the Forest Department Office, CH-0 Nursery and Vanchetna Kendra located at Sector-17 G-4. If any person or bird lover brings injured animals and birds, they will be treated. If further treatment is required, the hospital located in Sector-30 will also be kept open in the presence of specialists.
For this rescue operation, volunteers of Shri Ram Charitable Trust will set up a collection center in Sector-22 and run this operation. These volunteers and forest workers will be deployed in every sector and new area of Gandhinagar with cars and two-wheelers.
