History sheeter made illegal extortion from dealer, police registered a case
Bilaspur. In Bilaspur, District Badar history-sheeter Rishabh Panikar and his associates together showed extreme arrogance and beat up a property dealer youth. The miscreants demanded extortion from the property dealer for buying and selling land. When he refused, he used his hands and fists vigorously. Police have registered a case against the accused. The matter is of Sarkanda police station area. According to the information, Dinesh Ghore, a resident of Dayalband, is a property dealer. He has bought and sold land from property dealer Raghavendra Gupta living in Sarkanda area.
On Thursday, Dinesh along with his brother Palu Ghore had gone to meet Raghavendra Gupta at his office. They were talking about transactions among themselves, when at around 1 pm, Dayalband’s habitual criminal Rishabh Panikar, his brother Vasu Panikar, friends Rohan, Deepak and others reached there. The miscreants demanded money from Raghavendra to sell the land. Dinesh refused to give money to Raghavendra. Due to this, Rishabh Panicker and his associates started beating Dinesh, threatening to kill him. Palu and Raghavendra somehow intervened during the fight. After this, injured Dinesh complained about the incident at Sarkanda police station. On this, the police have registered a crime under the sections of illegal extortion and assault and started investigating the matter.
Several cases are registered against the accused Rishabh Panikar in the City Kotwali like threatening and assaulting for illegal extortion as well as kidnapping, threatening and abetting suicide. The police had arrested him in a case and also presented him in the court. After this, District Collector action was taken against him during the assembly elections. However, during the period of District Magistrate, he is roaming in the city and has started demanding extortion. The video of history-sheeter’s extortion is going viral on social media. The video is of a few seconds. After making a video before the fight, the miscreants snatched the mobile and threatened. In the video, habitual criminal Rishabh is seen sitting on the sofa with his friends. In the second video, his own friends are seen creating ruckus. Rishabh Panikar was roaming in the city during District Collectorate, but no one had any idea about it. There is no information as to how long he has been in the city. During this time, he along with his associates kept flouting the rules and regulations by demanding extortion in the city.
