- 300 grams potatoes
- 1 finely chopped red chilli
- 1 cup refined oil
- 1 finely chopped garlic clove
- 1 tbsp corn flour
- 4 pinches of salt
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnishing
- 1 small onion
- 2 teaspoons chili flakes for topping
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 clove finely chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon refined oil
- 1 teaspoon tomato chili sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
Method of preparation
Wash the potatoes, peel them and cut them into the shape of fries. Boil five cups of water in a large vessel. When the water boils, add potatoes to it and reduce the flame. Potatoes need to be cooked but not completely boiled. Mix garlic, red chilli, salt, corn flour in a bowl. Keep aside for 3 to 5 minutes. Now add potatoes to it and mix well so that the mixture gets coated well. Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry the potatoes until they become crispy.
You can also double fry it to make it crispy. But keep in mind that it should not become too hard from inside. Take out the fried potatoes and place them on blotting paper. Now heat some oil. Add chopped garlic, sesame seeds, vinegar, tomato sauce and sauté for a while and turn off the gas. Now pour honey, seasoning and onion over the potatoes. Mix well and add more seasonings if desired and serve immediately. This is a great starter dish which goes well with any drink or tea or coffee.
