House suddenly caught fire in village Bhati, completely destroyed
Fatehpur. A two-room house has been burnt to ashes in village Bhati of Panchayat Nagal of Fatehpur tehsil of Kangra district. After the house burnt down, the family came under the open sky. According to the information, the house caught fire around 4 pm on Friday night. The family members were stunned to see the flames coming out. An immediate attempt was made to control the fire with the help of the villagers, but all the items kept on the roof were reduced to ashes. Landlord Ashok Kumar told that this incident happened in the morning. All the members were sleeping in the courtyard.
But at around 4 in the morning, I suddenly felt something burning from the room and saw that the fire had spread to the house. Information about the incident was immediately given to Panchayat head Rashpal Chauhan, who assured government assistance to the fire victim’s family. It is being told that the fire broke out due to short circuit. Besides, the electric wire in another house also got burnt. Due to short circuit, electricity was lost in half the village. However, any accident was prevented there. According to the villagers, the electric wire laid from the pole to the houses is quite old. The electricity department was also informed about this.
