Hyderabad: A person who cheated a businessman of Rs 4 crore in the name of mid-day meal contract arrested
Hyderabad: CCS police on Tuesday arrested a man for defrauding a businessman of Rs. Rs 4 crore in the name of getting the contract for mid-day meal scheme.
The man, identified as A Aravind, a native of Jagitiyal, took photographs with some political leaders.
By showing these pictures he collected money. Rs 4 crore from a businessman resident of Banjara Hills, who promised to get the mid-day meal contract through his contacts.
“Arvind gave a fake government order for a job to the victim. When the victim investigated it, he realized that he had been cheated,” Hyderabad CCS officials said.
After the complaint, the police registered a case against Arvind and arrested him.
