Hyderabad: Food safety team destroys spoiled items at China Bistro in Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad: Continuing its series of inspections at restaurants and food-related establishments, the Food Safety Department’s task force team on Friday conducted another check at China Bistro in Jubilee Hills.Along with expired food items such as potato flakes, scamorza cheese, rice flour, white vinegar and pasta, other semi-prepared food items kept in refrigerators without labels and beyond the use-by date were also thrown away.

Restaurants will soon get hygiene rating.Food safety violations at dairy manufacturing units in Rangareddy.Expired food items were found at well-known food establishments in Jubilee Hills.Also, mayonnaise sweet sauce, premium dry fruits nutmeg, dried dates, makhana, cloves and pancake syrup were seized as they were found without proper FSSAI labelling.In terms of hygiene, dustbins were found open without proper lids, and medical fitness certificates for food handlers and pest control records for the premises were not available.
