Hyderabad: KRMB meeting canceled

Hyderabad: The Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) meeting scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on Friday was cancelled, according to officials. The board called a meeting to discuss its financial problems.

But it was decided to cancel the meeting as Secretary Jal Shakti assured that the funding issue would be addressed with the AP and Telangana governments. According to reports, junta officials were considering asking the prime ministers of both states to evaluate the situation.

But that measure was also dropped as the board’s financial issues would be discussed in a high-level meeting to be held in New Delhi on January 15. Principal secretaries of both the states attended the meeting.
