Hyderabad Naval officers pay tribute to bravehearts on Navy Day
Hyderabad: In a touching ceremony, Naval Officers of Hyderabad Station paid homage to the bravehearts on Navy Day, December 4, 2023, at the Veerula Sainik Smarak (War Memorial), Parade Ground, Secunderabad.
On behalf of the serving naval fraternity, Rear Admiral Ravneesh Seth, Station Commander (Navy) (Hyderabad), and on behalf of naval veterans, Commodore Sudhir Parakala (Retd.), Chairman, Navy Foundation (Hyderabad), laid the war wreath. , Memorial.
Indian Navy Day is celebrated every year on 4 December to remember the achievements and contributions of the Indian Navy to the country. It is the day of 1971, when the Indian Navy demonstrated its strength and bravery during the India-Pakistan war and carried out a very successful naval operation, which was named ‘Operation Trident’. The day honors the bravery, dedication and total commitment of the Indian Navy and its personnel towards safeguarding the maritime interests of the country and ensuring maritime security in the region.
Several outreach programmes/activities are also being carried out at Hyderabad Station as part of Navy Week celebrations.
