Hyderabad: NPCI seeks environment clearance for proposed office building in Narsingi
Hyderabad: The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has requested environment authority for the construction of a new office building at Narsingi in Ranga Reddy district. NPCI, an organization that oversees minority payment systems in India under the Reserve Bank of India and the Indian Banks’ Association, aims to expand its infrastructure to better serve the banking sector. After acquiring a plot of land measuring 13629.96 square meters in Telangana, NPCI plans to construct an office building on 3938 square meters of open land. The proposed structure will cover a total built-up surface of 32,703,243 square metres, with a total of 20 floors, including four basement levels, a floor above pilasters and 15 upper floors with designated parking space. Since this project is included in building and construction projects as per EIA notification dated 14 September 2006, it is mandatory to obtain environment authorization.
