Hyderabad: Relief from pleasant weather, storm warning in Telangana for next five days
Hyderabad: Hyderabad got a major respite from the heat on Wednesday, with temperatures hovering between 30 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius amid pleasant, cloudy skies in most parts of the city. This little relief came as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad predicted thunderstorms in various districts of Telangana over the next five days. On Tuesday, Mulugu recorded the highest rainfall in Telangana with 96.3 mm of rain. In Hyderabad, Shaikpet received the highest rainfall of 3.5 mm. The IMD has issued a yellow alert, indicating the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning and thunderstorms in various districts of the state till June 23. Today, several districts including Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem, Nirmal, Mancherial, Nizamabad, Jagtiyal, Peddapalle, Bhupalpally, Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, Hanamkonda, Warangal, Mulugu, Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Jangaon, Khammam, Bhuvanagiri, Nalgonda, Malkajgiri, Rangareddy and Hyderabad are likely to receive rain and thunderstorms. Tomorrow’s forecast says rain and thunderstorms will occur in Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Narayanpet, Mahabubnagar, Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Bhupalpally and Mulugu. On June 21, Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem, Mancherial, J. Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Mahabubabad, B. Kothagudem, Khammam, Sangareddy and Vikarabad are likely to receive thunderstorms and lightning. The IMD has also predicted thunderstorms and lightning in north Telangana districts of Adilabad, Nirmal, Kumaram Bheem, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Mancherial, Kamareddy, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalle, J. Bhupalapally, Medak, Siddipet, Hanamkonda, Warangal, Mulugu and B. Kothagudem. In Hyderabad, all areas including Charminar, Khairthabad, Kukatpally, LB Nagar, Secunderabad and Serilingampally are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall till Saturday.
