Hyderabad RPO will release all 250 appointments online from December 1st

Hyderabad: The Regional Passport Office (RPO) in the city, which had earlier decided to release 250 appointments, half online and half offline, has now decided to release all of them online.

Currently, the RPO is releasing 250 appointments each day – 125 through walk-in and 125 online, however, all RPO appointments in Hyderabad will be available on the Passport Seva website from December 1.

Hyderabad Regional Passport Officer J Snehaja said in a press release that people whose applications are pending for various reasons are visiting the RPO in Secunderabad.

Highlighting the difficulty faced by people, Snehaja said that in case of offline appointments, tokens were issued on first come first serve basis.

Applicants were obliged to come early in the day to collect their tokens and those who failed to collect the tokens had to visit the office again.

To avoid the hassle, Hyderabad RPO has decided to release all the appointments online.

“Applicants with documentary proof such as those with medical emergencies, students providing admission proof for foreign institutions/hall tickets for examinations, and persons with visa expiry, can come for questioning,” Snehaja said.

The RPO has further informed that the inquiry appointments will be free of cost and people have been advised not to approach any middlemen (brokers/brokers) for passport related queries in Hyderabad.
