Hyderabad: Two injured in drunk and drive accident
Hyderabad: In yet another incident involving high-profile drivers drunk on city roads, two people suffered injuries when an automobile driven by an acquaintance of a former minister hit motorists at Forum Circle within the commissionerate limits . KPHB Police on Sunday night.
The conductor, Agraja Reddy, the parents of former minister Indrakaran Reddy, along with two friends, Teja and Karthik, had gone to a pub in Gachibowli on Sunday night, where they were bored.
While going back to their home in the car, the trio hired a conductor to drop them. However, after a few minutes, Agraaj took the wheel of the auto and started driving.
“When they reached Forum Mall Circle, Agraj hit two people with the car, injuring them. A case has been registered and the driver has been arrested. He was freed after issuing a notice under 41A CrPC”, said Shiva Bhaskar, ACP Kukatpally.
Both the heroes were shifted to a local hospital where they were treated.
This incident was captured in closed-circuit cameras installed nearby.
The police conducted an alien test on Agraj and found that he was under the influence of alcohol.
