Hyderabad: Two people died after being hit by a speeding train
Hyderabad: Two people were reportedly killed after they were hit by a high-speed train on the railway tracks in Bhawani Nagar in the old city on Friday night. The victims were identified as neighbors Arif Patel and Syed Imran. Police sources said preliminary investigation and eyewitness statements indicate that the incident occurred when the two were standing on the railway track near Talab Katta and discussing some unknown matter. Some other people left from there. On receiving the information, Bhawani Nagar police and government’s Ferroviaria police reached there and inspected. Railway police is investigating. The bodies were shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem. According to residents, there have been several fights and confrontations between groups of youth under the influence of alcohol or drugs on the train tracks in the past. Incidents of murder and suicide also took place. Local public representatives inspected the area on Saturday and called the police to launch a detailed investigation.
