Jasmine Bhasin told why Lord Ganesha is called ‘Vighnaharta Ganesha’
Mumbai (IANS). On the arrival of Lord Ganapati, actress Jasmine Bhasin told why Lord Ganesha is called ‘Vighnaharta Ganesha’ and what she prayed for this year.
The actress said, “Ganesh Chaturthi is relevant for everyone and it is celebrated at the national level. I have fond memories of Ganesh Chaturthi from my hometown Kota, Rajasthan. I used to watch a lot of pageants and dress up for the occasion and eat a lot of sweets. His experience in Mumbai is even more special.
He said, “After coming here, I realized that the excitement of Ganpati lasts for many days. The atmosphere changes completely. Since I am in Mumbai, I have seen my friends bringing Ganpati at home, so I visit them and eat modaks too.
Further adding, “I think the festival is very purifying for the mind and atmosphere of the city and Ganesha is called Vighnaharta Ganesha for a reason. I think we should surrender to God, He knows what is right. Faith can move mountains. I believe in living life one day at a time and I have learned that it is good to be important but it is more important to be good.
