Know here when is Amla Navami, puja method
The Hindu religion boasts an abundance of fasting festivals. Presently, the month of Kartik is underway for the second time, marked by numerous fasting festivals, among them the significant religious observance of Navami. As per the Panchang, devotees partake in special fasting and worship on the ninth day of the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) during the month of Kartik. This occasion, known as Akshaya Navami, holds great reverence
The belief is that observing fasting, engaging in worship, and offering prayers on this day yield everlasting results. It’s thought in Christianity that donating items like cows, earth, gold, and clothing on this day can absolve sins, even those as severe as the murder of a Brahmin. In this article, we’ll share the celebration date of Navami and its worship rituals.
Basant Navami, its date, and worship practices— This year, the fast of Akshaya Navami falls on Tuesday, November 21st. Begin the day with a ritual bath, then wear fresh attire, and worship facing east under the Amla tree. Pour a trickle of milk at the tree’s base and wrap yarn around its trunk. Subsequently, perform aarti using camphor or clarified butter and utter 108 prayers.
During the Amla Navami worship, gather water, roli, akshat (colored rice), jaggery, basil leaves, spices, and a lamp from home. Afterward, feed the underprivileged, donate money, and partake in the meal yourself. Attend special discourses or lectures on this auspicious day. Additionally, donating Amla (Indian gooseberry) is considered virtuous on this occasion.
