Pitru Paksha 2023 : With the beginning of the month of September, the series of festivals has also started. Festivals like Janmashtami and Hartalika Teej were celebrated at the beginning of the month.
But now auspicious works are being banned for some time. The patriarchy is going to happen at the end of September. This time Pitru Paksha will start from 29th September and end on 14th October.
Ancestors are remembered during this period of 15 days. Tarpan, Pind Daan, Shraddha are performed for the peace of his soul. Pitru Paksha is considered very important to get the blessings of deceased ancestors. This is why many policies and rules have to be followed during this period.
Some things should not be done at all during Pitru Paksha, otherwise you may have to face the anger of your ancestors. If you accidentally make a mistake, apologize immediately. Our ancestors take care of our safety and well-being even after they have gone to the other world.
Do not plan auspicious activities
Avoid planning any kind of auspicious activities during Pitru Paksha. Do not start any new work during this period. During these 15 days, family functions like marriage, Mundan Sanskar, housewarming etc. are prohibited. It is believed that this angers the ancestors and gives inauspicious results.
Do not eat non-vegetarian food
Avoid consuming meat, fish, eggs etc. during Pitru Paksha. If possible, avoid consumption of garlic and onion. Stay away from alcohol and drugs. You should take satvik diet.

Don’t cut your hair or beard
During the period of Pitru Paksha, cutting the beard, hair and nails of the person performing Pind Daan, Shraddha and Tarpan is prohibited. It is believed that this angers the ancestors.
