Man dies after accidentally drinking acid while intoxicated

Chamarajanagar (IANS). A man died after accidentally consuming acid in an inebriated state in Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar district. Sources gave this information on Tuesday.

The incident took place in Mulluru village of Kollegal taluk.

According to the police, Siddharaju (40) drank the acid used for cleaning toilets mistaking it for drinking water on Sunday.

When her family saw her writhing in pain and screaming for help, they along with the villagers took her to the hospital.

However, Siddaraju succumbed to internal injuries at the hospital the next day.

The inspection of the matter is going on.
