Murder of sick mother by strangulation

Hyderabad (IANS) | In Telangana, a man killed his mother thinking she was a burden and then buried her. The shocking incident took place in Kamareddy district of Telangana.

According to the police, a person named Chinna Balayya strangulated the bedridden mother E. Balavva (80) to death with a cloth and later buried her.

A few days back, Balaiah had told his neighbors in Sadashiv Nagar that his mother had gone missing. She claimed that the room where she was staying was locked from outside.

However, a local public representative was suspicious. Biraiya, a member of the Mandal Parishad Territorial Committee (MPTC), lodged a complaint with the police. Shocking revelations were revealed in the police investigation.

Balayya has confessed to killing his mother. He told the police that she had become a burden to him and he was unable to take care of her. On the night of 13 April, he strangled his mother to death with a cloth. He then took her body to an isolated spot behind a rice mill and buried it.

In the presence of local administrative officials, the police took out the body on Monday and sent it for postmortem. Circle Inspector Raman said, “We have arrested the accused and further investigation is on.”
