Newborn baby’s body found in train dustbin, investigation underway
Bengaluru: Karnataka Railway Police has recovered the body of a newborn baby from a train dustbin in Bengaluru. The incident came to light on Thursday, following which Yeshwantpur Railway Police has started investigating the case.
Police said that they recovered the body of the child from the Prashanti Express, which arrived at Yelahanka railway station in Bengaluru from Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. They said that the baby was wrapped in a white cloth and thrown in the dustbin. When passengers saw the baby in the dustbin, they informed the railway officials.
Railway Police suspect that the baby was born on the train and was thrown in the dustbin soon after birth. Police are examining CCTV footage to find out what exactly happened. More details about the incident are yet to be revealed.
