NIA issues charge sheet to 3 Myanmarese
New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has chargesheeted three Myanmar nationals in a major international human trafficking case related to illegal infiltration and smuggling of foreign nationals, mainly of Rohingya origin, into India across the India-Bangladesh border. Has been filed.
The accused have been identified as Rabi Islam also known as Rabiul Islam, Shafi Alam also known as Sophie Alom and Saidul Islam and Mohammad Usman.
According to the NIA, all the accused are permanent residents of Maungdaw district of Myanmar. According to the NIA investigation, the three accused had entered India illegally without valid travel documents in connivance with smugglers and brokers.
“They were also involved in facilitating the infiltration of several other foreign nationals through unauthorized and illegal border routes,” the NIA charge sheet said.
