No differences with BJP: Former Chief Minister Kumaraswamy
Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said that there is no difference of opinion between JDS and BJP. Speaking to the media, Kumaraswamy said, “There is no difference in our relationship with the BJP. I have asked the BJP to follow the dharma of alliance.”
He said that the ongoing doubt regarding Kolar seat will also come to an end soon. According to sources, currently Kolar seat is with BJP. In such a situation, the party is not in favor of giving it to JDS.
Karnataka Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar had earlier called upon JD(S) workers to join the Congress. To this Kumaraswamy said, “Shivakumar we do not need your sympathy. The 2002 Karnataka by-election results are going to be repeated this time.”
In 2002 S.M. Shivakumar was a minister in the Krishna-led Congress government. He said, “Shivkumar was fielded in the political fray against former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. Then fake voters were included at many places. JD(S) workers set fire to the vehicle carrying free goods and forced people to leave their homes.” They were forced to take off their clothes, wear shorts and sit.”
