Noonh violence: Increased security before ablution pilgrimage
GURUGRAM (IANS). Security has been stepped up across Noonh, amid calls by Hindu groups to resume the Jalabhishek Yatra in Noonh on Monday (August 28) despite the local administration not allowing it.
The Noonh administration has already refused permission to the organizers of the trip in the run-up to the G20 Sherpa group meeting in Noonh from September 3 to 7.
Though permission has not been given to organize the yatra, there are inputs that some organizations have invited people from Haryana and neighboring states to reach Noonh on August 28, officials said.

All schools and colleges have been closed on August 28 and security has been stepped up in the district with the extension of Section
“Police deployment around mosques has been stepped up, while paramilitary forces are keeping vigil in Noonh district after clashes. Around 700 Haryana police personnel and 13 paramilitary companies are deployed in the district,” SP Noonh Narendra Bijarnia said. Police will monitor the movement of outsiders.”
“Permission to travel has been denied and no gathering will be allowed. We ask the locals to pray in their village temples instead of gathering at the Nalhar temple in Noon on August 28,” the DC said are requesting.”
To ensure that devotees do not gather in large numbers at any time, the Nalhar temple has been converted into a fort. “The minority population has been asked to avoid leaving their homes,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ferozepur Jhirka MLA Mamman Khan has been asked to join the probe following the revelation of those arrested in the July 31 communal clash.
