Nuapada MVI in Vigilance net, Rs 1.32 lakhs found from his possession

Bhubaneswar: Nuapada MVI Bijay Kumar Behuria was intercepted by Odisha Vigilance today while carrying Rs. 1.32 lakhs. The money is suspected as ill-gotten cash.

Based on reliable information, today, a short while ago, Bijay Kumar Behuria, MVI, Nuapada, Dist- Nuapada, was intercepted by a team of Odisha Vigilance near Khordha Hospital Square, while he was on his way to Bhubaneswar from Nuapada in a private vehicle bearing Regd. No.OD-33-AC-2030 and cash Rs. 1.32 LAKHS.

The cash of Rs. 1.32 lakhs which was found from his possession has been suspected as ill-gotten cash that has been collected as PC from different sources.

As Behuria could not explain satisfactorily, the amount was recovered from him and seized. Besides seized cash, vehicle was also seized.

Following the interception, search is being carried out at 5 locations of Behuria from DA angle. He is being examined to ascertain the source of funds. Detailed report follows.
