Policeman shot dead his mother-in-law after an argument, neighbors caught him and beat him up
Hyderabad: A police constable shot his mother-in-law dead over a family dispute in Telangana on Thursday. The incident took place in Gundla Singaram of Hanamkonda district. According to police, constable A. Prasad shot his mother-in-law Kamalamma (53) during a heated argument. Due to which Kamalamma died on the spot.
The woman’s family members and neighbors A. Prasad was caught and beaten. After this he handed him over to the police. The constable was posted at Kotapalli police station in Peddapalli district. About 15 years ago, he was married to Ramadevi, a resident of Gundla Singaram.
The couple have two children. However, due to marital dispute, the constable’s wife was living with her parents for the last three years. Prasad came to his in-laws’ house on Thursday. She had a heated argument with her mother-in-law over a loan of Rs 4 lakh.
In anger, he took out his revolver and fired two bullets at him, killing him on the spot. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
