Puttur: Gang of 4 nomads snatch gold chain from woman’s neck, flee

Puttur: On Saturday evening, a group of four nomad women near Gandhikatte, Puttur KSRTC bus stand snatched a gold chain from a woman’s neck and made their escape.

The victim, Sundari, a resident of Nandarabettu, near Kanaya in Bantwal taluk, was en route to the bus stand when the gang of four nomad women suddenly accosted her. They swiftly grabbed her gold chain, which weighed approximately three sovereigns, and swiftly departed.

Sundari promptly reported the incident to the traffic officers on duty at the intersection, and later filed a formal complaint at the Puttur police station.
