Rape accused arrested within 24 hours, Raipur police took immediate action

Raipur. As per the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Raipur Santosh Kumar Singh, the accused in the said case was arrested under the guidance of senior police officers. The victim of the case reached Dharsiwa police station on 11/03/2024 and lodged a report that she was cleaning her house at around 06.00 am on 8-3-24. His mother was sleeping inside at the same time the neighbor came into the house and forcefully took her by the hands and dragged her to the next room and threw her on the ground.

She released her hand and stood up, then the accused again held her hand and forcefully had physical relations with her and went away after threatening her that if she told anyone about the incident, he would kill her. Other family members of the victim were not in the village. When she arrived, she told about the incident and a case was registered on 11/03/2024. Police took prompt action and today arrested the accused and sent him on judicial remand.
