Ration card will be linked to government records
Shimla. Ration cards of government employees will now be linked to their government records. This will have to be mapped on the State Government’s Human Resources Portal i.e. PMIS. The IT department has sent these instructions to all government departments. Every employee will have to provide information about his family ID or ration card ID. Once the ration cards of all government employees are uploaded, it will benefit both the employees and the government.
It will help the state government to use this data in making future plans. If employees require any kind of certificate in future, they will not have to visit government offices and will get this facility online. On the instructions of the IT Department, Higher Education Director Amarjeet Sharma has also sent these instructions to the principals of all his government colleges. Every college will have to get the ration card of every employee mapped on the Manav Sampada portal. How will this process work? Separate instructions have been attached for this. Actually, the Department of Information Technology has prepared such a proposal for the Hum Parivar Project.
Which has been sent to all the departments. Under this, the family register or ration card will have to be linked to the employee’s government records portal. It is necessary to prepare this family register under Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj Act 1994. With this, information related to the family members of the employees will come in the government records and it can also be used in schemes like Public Distribution System or e-Kalyan. A unique ID will be provided to every employee through this.
This will also help the concerned employees later in getting government documents or getting any kind of certificate made. The IT department says that the objective of the Hum Parivar project is to further simplify the benefits available to the citizens of the state. Besides, the government has to make data available in decision making, so that the pace of expenditure in government schemes can also be increased.
