Sand stolen at 4 in the morning, mafia doing bad condition of the road

Kurud. Sand overloaded highway vehicles are being operated indiscriminately on the roads of Kurud area of Dhamtari district. The condition of the roads is getting worse day by day due to the vehicles running freely with the sand stock. Due to overloaded vehicles, there is a possibility of accident all the time.

It may be noted that due to the rains, till September 30, mining is banned on the valid sand mining leases allotted in the Mahanadi region. Before this, the mining contractors have kept stock of sand. From where overloaded highway vehicles are being operated indiscriminately ignoring the transport rules. Sand overloaded vehicles are galloping day and night on the roads of the area. Despite this, the Transport Department is not taking any action against them.

On the condition of anonymity, a city dweller told that, these Hiva vehicles drive at high speed considering the people walking on the road as weeds, due to which small and big accidents happen everyday. However, people are unable to mention and complain about it due to the fear of public shame. Apart from this, sand and dust flying from overloaded vehicles of sand remain a problem for the villagers. At the same time, the condition of the roads is also getting worse day by day.
