Silent protest by Karnataka Congress against BJP’s ‘conspiracy’ to end Rahul Gandhi’s career
Bengaluru (IANS). Karnataka Congress is holding a day-long silent protest at Freedom Park in Bengaluru against the BJP government’s alleged conspiracy to end Rahul Gandhi’s political career.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar was seen protesting wearing a black mask and covering his face.
All MLAs, Ministers, MPs and leaders are participating in the protest.
Shivakumar accused the BJP government at the Center of hatching a conspiracy and trying to end Rahul Gandhi’s political career.
Urging party workers to turn out in large numbers, Shivakumar had said on Tuesday that Rahul Gandhi had never harmed the country’s reputation. There is a conspiracy to end his political career on the pretext of his speech in Karnataka.
He said, “We condemn this. The message has to be given across the country to stand with Rahul Gandhi who stands for the truth and the country.”
Unable to tolerate the success of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and his massive victory in Karnataka, his Parliament membership was suspended. Shivakumar said the Congress has won all the constituencies where Rahul Gandhi took out padyatras.
Shivakumar said that the BJP is plotting against him seeing his popularity and success.
