Step mother kills newborn by feeding him milk laced with insecticide

Yadgir (Karnataka): A five-month-old girl was killed by her step mother by drinking milk mixed with pesticide in Babala village of Yadgir district in Karnataka. Police said on Friday that the incident occurred on August 30. According to the police, Siddappa did not have any children from his first wife Sridevi, so he married Devamma and became the parents of four children. Recently Sridevi gave birth to a daughter, who was named Sangeeta.

Thinking that Sangeetha will get a share in the property, Devamma decides to eliminate her and makes her drink milk laced with insecticide, which results in the infant’s death. The Vadgera police have taken Devamma into custody in the case.
