Students know the information related to voting, resolved to make every eligible person aware for voting
Voter awareness program continued on Monday under the well-organized voter education and election participation program (SWEEP) in educational institutions.
Under the campaign, computer science students of Bikaner Technical University were informed about important information related to voting along with downloading the Voter Helpline app. During this, the students took the oath of voting and resolved to inspire every voter for this.
On the other hand, ALMT Harihar Rajpurohit explained the election process through Electronic Voting Machine to the students at Girdhar Das Mundhra High Mavi, Raumavi Pratap Basti, St. NN RSV Mukta Prasad on Monday. Seeing EVM and VVPAT for the first time, the students got to know and understand their functioning. During the mock polling, many students matched the EVM slip with the VVPAT slip by pressing the EVM button. Many questions were asked by the students to the sweep team members like pressing two buttons of EVM simultaneously, more than sixteen candidates of political parties, trying to vote through someone else’s identity ID. During this, heads of educational institutions expressed confidence to share information related to voter awareness with the students on prayer sessions and special occasions from time to time. Told that as per the instructions of the District Election Officer, the aim of the voter awareness campaign is to make the students studying in schools and colleges aware about voting and to give information about the election system. Continuous action is being taken for this.
