Qatar Airways additional flights bring back 2,600 Indians

Delhi: Amidst the Middle East conflict, Qatar Airways has increased the number of flights to various cities in India, bringing much relief. A large number of Indian citizens returned to their country through the flights operated on Wednesday. The Indian Embassy in Qatar is continuously active in helping the people and is also appealing to follow the safety guidelines.

According to the advisory issued by the Indian Embassy in Qatar, “Qatar Airways operated nine flights to different cities in India on Wednesday. In total, around 2600 Indian citizens travelled on Qatar Airways flights on Wednesday. As Qatar Airways previously stated, “Flight tickets can be booked through the Qatar Airways website, app, or through travel agents.” The Embassy stated that as more flights have become available from Qatar to various cities in India, the number of phone calls and email queries received at the control room has steadily decreased. Nevertheless, the Embassy continues to operate its control room on a 24×7 basis to address public questions and concerns through helplines and emails.
The Embassy urged the Indian community to strictly follow the guidelines and advisories issued by the Qatari authorities.
Everyone should observe precautionary measures when organizing social events, including weddings and funerals. The authorities emphasized that such events should be held only in indoor halls and closed spaces to avoid potential risks to public safety. Even after the 19th day of tensions in the Middle East, the situation has escalated instead of improving. The situation is worsening. As such, the embassy is working to safely evacuate as many people as possible from the country. On Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed to have killed Yunus Mohammad Hussein Alian, the commander of Hamas’s North Gaza Brigade’s naval unit, in an attack. Furthermore, the IDF also claimed the death of another top Iranian leader in the airstrike.
