Tamil Nadu: Is your name not on the voter list? You can apply until March 26.

Tamil Nadu: The Chief Electoral Officer has stated that individuals whose names do not appear in the final voter list—published following the special revision process—may re-apply; they have until March 26 to do so.
Although the final voter list was published on February 23, if anyone’s name is still missing from it, any eligible individual may apply to have their name added by submitting Form 6 along with the necessary supporting documents. Applications for the deletion of names can be submitted via Form 7, while requests to change one’s polling station or constituency can be made using Form 8. It has been announced that those wishing to make corrections or updates may submit their applications through the official website, the mobile app, or by visiting the respective Collector’s offices.
In this regard, the Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu issued a press release stating:
“You will be able to cast your vote in the upcoming Assembly elections only if your name is included in the final voter list published subsequent to the completion of the special revision process.”
“If your name does not appear in the list, the deadline to apply for its inclusion is March 26. We urge all eligible voters to register themselves as voters and to fulfill their democratic duty by casting their votes without fail,” he added.
According to the final voter list, the total number of voters in Tamil Nadu stands at 56,707,380. This figure comprises 27,738,925 male voters, 28,960,838 female voters, and 7,617 voters belonging to the third gender.
The Election Commission is currently conducting awareness campaigns aimed at ensuring 100 percent voter turnout. Furthermore, the Election Commission has made arrangements for postal voting for the elderly and persons with disabilities, under which election officials will visit their homes to record their votes.
To ensure that every eligible citizen is able to cast their vote, a public holiday has been declared for all institutions on election day, i.e., April 23.
