Even female police officers are not safe under DMK rule: Naina Nagendran

Tamil Nadu: BJP State President Naina Nagendran has stated that under the DMK regime, even female police officers in Tamil Nadu are not safe.
In a post published on the social media platform ‘X’ on Sunday, she remarked, “The arrest of a Superintendent of Police (SP)-rank officer on charges of sexually harassing female police officers and personnel working in the Coimbatore Battalion highlights the deplorable state of affairs under the DMK administration.” She added, “Under DMK rule, even female police officers are not secure. All in all, the safety of women in Tamil Nadu remains under a cloud of doubt.”
PMK leader Anbumani, in a post on ‘X’, stated, “It is utterly reprehensible that a senior police officer—whose primary duty is to prevent crimes against women—is himself engaging in the sexual harassment of female police officers.”
It is absolutely unacceptable for officials to hold press conferences—and for Chief Minister Stalin to speak of women’s empowerment—while simultaneously claiming that crime rates have declined compared to the past.
