The young man had gone to the nursery to defecate, the elephant attacked him with its trunk

The elephant killed the youth by slamming him with its trunk. The incident took place at 8 pm on Thursday in village Baniya of Pasan range in Katghora forest division. Teejaram (22) had gone to defecate in the nursery forest adjacent to the village. There the elephant attacked him.

The people around were terrified after hearing the trumpeting of the elephant. When Teejaram did not return home for a long time, the villagers went out in search of him. They found Teejaram dead. The villagers allege that despite receiving the information, the forest department employees did not reach on time. During this time the elephant was roaming in the surrounding area, due to which the lives of the people were in danger.

Later the forest department team reached the spot and drove the elephant towards the forest. After the incident, the villagers remained awake all night due to fear. The forest department team is keeping an eye on the elephant. The forest department has alerted the villagers not to go to the forest. Also avoid going near the elephant or disturbing it. The department says that doing so can make the elephant aggressive.
