CHENNAI: Two people died after being hit by a water truck near Avadi

Chennai: A youth and a woman were killed after being hit by a water truck on the Senneer Kuppam-Avadi road on Thursday. According to a report by Daily Thanthi, the water truck was speeding on the Senneer Kuppam-Avadi road and hit pedestrians, as well as a car and a bike. One person died on the spot and another died while undergoing treatment. Reports say that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The Avadi police have registered a case and are investigating the accident.
