Collector Directs Lalla Medical Staff to Improve
Jogulamba Gadwala: Collector Rizwan Basha Sheikh has ordered that the performance of medical officers in the district should improve and that the medical staff should strictly follow the timekeeping. He suggested that attendance registration should be made mandatory through the biometric system. The Collector spoke at the Medical and Health Department review meeting held at the IDOC conference hall on Saturday.
He said that during a recent surprise inspection of several primary health centers and government hospitals in the district, he identified various problems. He expressed anger that despite the instructions to clear old files and remove useless furniture as part of the 99-day program of the Public Administration-Progress Plan, many places have not done so.
He said that if the concerned medical officers are not responsible, even the lower-level staff will act negligently. He warned that appropriate action will be taken if they are absent from duty without writing a leave letter. He said that strict action will be taken if they are negligent in maintaining various registers and vaccination.
He said that the number of deliveries in government hospitals has to increase significantly. He said that there is no need for patients from Jogulamba Gadwal district to go to Kurnool for medical services and ordered that better medical services be provided in government hospitals in the district. DMHO Sandhya Kiranmayi, doctors, medical officers, staff of medical centers, and others participated.
