Chief Minister Stalin will not serve Delhi: O. Panneerselvam

Tamil Nadu: Former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam stated that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will not bow down to Delhi.

On Sunday, a consultative meeting of DMK functionaries from the Manamadurai Assembly constituency was held in Ilaiyangudi, Sivaganga district, under the theme ‘Tamil Nadu Will Not Bow Its Head.’ Speaking at this meeting, O. Panneerselvam said: “Due to the various measures undertaken by Chief Minister Stalin in Tamil Nadu, economic growth has surged to 11.08 percent.”

“Stalin is doing an excellent job of leading the DMK—without making any compromises—in matters concerning governance as Chief Minister and in securing autonomy for the state. He is effectively tackling every kind of threat.”

“Although the Central Government has released only 4 percent of the 40 percent of funds allocated to Tamil Nadu through the Third Finance Commission, development projects are nevertheless being implemented effectively in the state by utilizing Tamil Nadu’s own funds for the benefit of the people.” He added, “We were saddened following the demise of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, and we are now happy to have joined the DMK.” He further stated that the people of Tamil Nadu have resolved to vote for and ensure the victory of the DMK in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Later, speaking to reporters, he said: “AMMK General Secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran has claimed that Chief Minister Stalin would be intimidated if Edappadi Palaniswami were to visit Delhi. However, even if America itself were to threaten him, Chief Minister Stalin would still not bow down to Delhi.” He clarified that the government in Tamil Nadu is not being run by bureaucrats; rather, the administration is functioning efficiently under the leadership of Chief Minister Stalin.

The meeting was attended by DMK functionaries from the Manamadurai Assembly constituency, including Minister for Cooperation K.R. Periyakaruppan, MLA Tamilarasi Ravikumar, former Lok Sabha member Ravindranath, DMK District Deputy Secretary T. Sengaamaran, Municipal Council Chairman S. Mariappan Kennedy, former Minister Thennavan, and former MLA Subha. The attendees included Mathiyarasan, former Cooperative Society Chairman Tamilrasan, and Town Panchayat Chairman Najumuddin. “We were saddened following the demise of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, and we are now happy to have joined the DMK.” He stated that the people of Tamil Nadu have resolved to vote for the DMK and ensure its victory in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Later, speaking to reporters, he remarked: “AMMK General Secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran has claimed that Chief Minister Stalin gets intimidated whenever Edappadi Palaniswami visits Delhi. However, even if the United States were to threaten him, Chief Minister Stalin would never subserviently serve Delhi.” He further asserted that the government in Tamil Nadu is not being run by bureaucrats; rather, under the leadership of Chief Minister Stalin, the administration is functioning exceptionally well.

DMK functionaries from the Manamadurai Assembly constituency participated in this meeting. Prominent attendees included Minister for Cooperatives K.R. Periyakaruppan, MLA Tamilarasi Ravikumar, former Lok Sabha Member Ravindranath, DMK District Deputy Secretary T. Sengaimaran, Town Council Chairman S. Mariappan Kennedy, former Minister Thennavan, former MLA Subha Mathiyarasan, former Cooperative Society Chairman Tamilrasan, and Town Panchayat Chairman Najumuddin.
