Stalin expresses gratitude to allies, mentions joining of new allies for 2026 elections

Tamil Nadu: In Tamil Nadu politics, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued a statement expressing his gratitude to the party’s alliance partners and workers. He said that the contributions of the parties and allies who supported the DMK during the election period have been significant and he will always remember them.
In his statement, Stalin said that the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance has consistently worked for the welfare of the people and the rights of the state. He described the alliance as a political movement that has played an active role in several elections since 2019, including the Lok Sabha elections, Assembly elections, rural and urban local body elections, and by-elections.
Stalin said that the alliance prioritized public issues in every election and continued its relentless struggle for the state’s development and rights. He also thanked the alliance’s leaders, administrative allies, and volunteers who played a crucial role in the electoral process.
He also specifically mentioned that several new parties have joined the alliance and extended their support during the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections. According to Stalin, this addition indicates that the Secular Progressive Alliance is continuously expanding its reach and that various political parties are uniting on issues of state development.
The Chief Minister also stated that the leaders of all parties contesting the elections under the alliance have cooperated with full dedication, whether they were directly contesting or were unable to contest for some reason. He described their trust and support as crucial to the party.
Stalin said that cooperation and trust are the greatest strengths in a political journey, and the DMK will always remember the contributions of its allies with respect. He also indicated that the alliance will grow stronger in the future and that joint work on public issues will continue.
